quote: "A southern girl is a girl who knows full well that she can open a door for herself but prefers for the gentleman to do it because it demonstrates a sense of respect. After all, every girl wants to be treated like a princess. We know how to make sweet tea and grits while telling you anything about hunting. We pick our battles and fight with the heart of a pitbull while still maintaining grace and elegance. Our mystique is that of the soft-spoken, mild-mannered southern belle who could direct an army, loves her mama and will always, ALWAYS, be a (grand)daddy's girl."

My name is Kelsey
I was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, in 1986. November 8th, to be exact, so that makes me 23 and a Scorpio. My family originally comes from the Czech Republic, though my Grandmother is German. My mother, grandmother, and I are the only part of my family that lives in Louisiana. Though since I have been here since before I could walk, talk, or fend for myself, I consider myself full-blooded Southern. I have the accent to boot.
I am, as some would say, unique. A fanatic who loves penguins, most could also consider me a tad obsessive. But what can I say? When I'm not tired, I can be very hyper-active and energetic. I try to take life as it comes, and live it to the fullest extent that I can.
I am a girl of unique inspirations and goals. I don't necessarily follow the predefined laws of normality, beauty, or intelligence. I refuse to be constricted to one mind frame or any of society's stereotypes. I ignore any and all rules that obstruct happiness. I will not hesitate to help anyone, even strangers, without a second thought. I'd protect my family and friends at any costs because they mean more than anything in the entirety of our universe to me; they are my support and my life. Some of my dearest friends are too far away for me to be able to smile with a whole heart. My passion for art exceeds the greater majority of my life. I love making art on any surface available - paper, skin, walls - especially those that tell stories of my emotions. I really don't care if someone hates me or not, negativity has not and will not bring me down. I crave life. I thrive on knowledge. I live for creativity. I hate the disappointment that is found within most people. I detest the exploitation of sexuality that is found within our society; hence my loathing pornography, strip clubs, shows, and movies marketed solely off of someone's assets or how they look. The acts and ideas of sexuality and lust are not meant to be bought or sold.
I am, and am proud to be and admit, a Christian. I am very respectful of others and will not force my religion on you when I know you don't feel the same as I do. I support everyone in their decisions as long as they're happy, because I believe I am not here to judge anyone. God made us who we are for a reason, and as such, only He can judge us. It's not up to me to tell anyone how to live their life, so I refuse to. We are all people, and should stay strongly united as such. But my life is in God's hands, and I believe He will show me where He wants me to end up. If you can respect that, then we'll get along fine.
I surround myself with people that make me laugh, and in turn I make laugh. People I can come to and seek comfort in whenever I need it, and know that I won't be turned away when I need them the most. That quality so far I have found in every one of my friends, and for that I thank them each and every day I wake up. I'm not necessarily looking for love, as my heart is already overwhelmed with it. I don't believe I have to share my life with anyone but my friends in order to be happy. Though eventually, it would be nice.
I am very happy-go-lucky, and can be happy even when I'm mad or upset. I love talking to people and making new friends every day. I guess you could say I'm bubbly. I love making people laugh and making others feel good.
I am short, standing at a total height of five feet even. I have big brown eyes, and reddish brown hair. I carry a few extra pounds, but love myself regardless. I don't need to impress anyone anyway. I do love doing make-up.
By nature, I love to sing and I'm an artist. Animation is my goal.
I'm a dog-lover. I have two purebred pomeranians; a black one named Zoey Isabelle, a tan one named Lucia Persephone, and soon I will have a red sable who will be named Aoife Camille. I also have an english bulldog named Magdalen Giada (Maggie). They are utterly my life.
I love the winter months. Even without snow, I love putting on layers or wrapping myself up in a blanket on the couch, watching television or reading a book, and drinking hot chocolate. Christmas is my favorite holiday. Celebrating the birth of Jesus is the most wonderful feeling. I also love the trees, decorating, and being festive.
My heart is weakened. I fall hard, and despite what I do or say, I rarely fall out. The past relationships I've had have all proven to be fake. Only one shines above the others, and to get it back is near impossible. I know what real love is. I am lucky to have had it.
I am in love with anything silver and green (lime in particular). Purple is a close second. Give me sunflowers, though, and you'll take my heart away with you. I want to be surrounded with them, and if I ever get married, I want to have them in my wedding.
I thrive on Dr. Pepper and sweet tea. Vitamin water is a new favorite, and I love trying new salads. I haven't quite gotten over my love of chicken, but I'm trying. I've discovered that I adore cooking, and do it every chance I get.
I'm allergic to pine trees, poison ivy, long-haired cats, and some kinds of daisies (shasta?).
I go crazy for penguins and rice crispies treats.
I think eating pizza for breakfast is normal. My (second) grandfather is my hero. I sing and dance in my car, around the house, in the streets. Playing beer pong with friends is awesome. When I do drink, I don't drink like I'm never gonna see alcohol again.
I believe bigger girls who don't already do this should learn to wear clothes that fit them, instead of those that look like they are growing out of them.. and I believe overly skinny pasty white chicks should learn to eat. If either of these apply to you, please smash every mirror in your house with a blunt object, because CLEARLY they are useless.
I will try anything at least once. I have plenty of regrets but absolutely adore my life otherwise. My friends are family and I will shank you for them. I love to cook for people who appreciate it. I can be pretty vulgar and don't care what you think. 'Where The Wild Things Are' is the best book EVER. Saying "thank you" is extremely important. I love tattoos on men. I'd rather text than talk on the phone unless it's with someone important. It should always snow on Christmas Day.
Sex offenders should be stoned to death. Hairy girls are vile. Valentines Day is totally over-rated. Sunflowers are my favorite flowers. I think AT&T should jump off a cliff. I love the beach, the sand, and everything that goes along with it. Ice Cream should be one of the 4 basic food groups. If I could make love to bacon, I would. I love horror movies. Laughing constantly is key. I am from West Monroe, LA, and YES I still say I reckon, y'all, over yunder and fixin' to. That about covers it. Thank you and good day!!
